One of the main markets of Intercaps Filling Systems are the Food Preserving Industry producing tomato concentrate, ketchup, salad dressing, various types of sauces, various types of solids, vegetables with oil, pickles, mayonnaise, marmalade, jams, jellies, honey, fruit juices.

Our Italian subsidiary has recently completed in France the installation of two complete lines for the packaging of ketchup and of sauces with hot filling and weight filling combined in a single unit.

Weight Filler for Ketchup and SaucesThe ketchup line is for HDPE squeeze bottles and runs at 18,000 bph on 560 grs jars.

The glass line is for jars for tomato based sauces from 180 grs to 1 kilo and runs also at 18,000 jph.

The special filling machines were designed on purpose for minimising product overfill ( the precision is of 1 gramme +/- on a kilo of product or unit filled) , in order to minimise recycling of product and avoiding over-heating.

Pasteurising UnitIn order to achieve this last point the filler is in tankless version with a spider web of piping leading directly to the filling valves.

Also supplied was the tube in tube pasteurising unit for the product prior to filling.

A pasterusing/cooler tunnel and a pressure sensitive labellers, shrink wrapper with tray running at 35-40 packs per minute as well as all the accumulations of the lines was supplied . Two automatic palletisers complete the installations

We are just back from the Annual SIBA Conference of the UK microbreweries, this year held in Straford Upon Avon, where Intercaps Filling Systems presented two important novelties for small microbrewieries, both of which have received a great deal of interest.

The 4-in-1 monoblock, at only 3 x 2 metres of footprint, incorporates: labeller, rinser, filler and capper - all in a single unit Automatic loading - unloading of the bottles can be added.

For a brief video of this machine please follow this link: http://www.intercaps.com/videos/4-in-1_Monoblock.wmv

The second novelty presented is the new Keg rinser-fillers single or double head from COMAC of Italy, a leading international producer of top quality keg filling machines. Rinsing with steam or cold water and peracitic acid water rinsing and filling from the bottom up for foam free operations.

Double head fillers have rinsing and filling phases completely separated and use the most safe and clean filling and rinsing valves currently on the market.

We are delighted to announce that a leading Scotch Whisky producer in Airdrie, Lanarkshire has ordered a complete bottling line from Intercaps Filling Systems, suitable for production speeds of 4000 bottles per hour and consisting of: a 16/16/4/4 monoblock, a 6 head capsuling machine, a 10 head 4 station multifunction labelling machine, a carton erector, a carton sealer and a complete conveyor system. This project is the cornerstone of this distiller’s current expansion, with the upgrade of their warehousing and blending facilities to incorporate a small flexible bottling facility.

Designed by the Intercaps Filling Systems’ engineers to meet the priority demand of Inver House Distillers for maximum flexibility and small production batches, the filler incorporates two capping turrets, both from Arol S.p.A. - one for T-shaped stopper corks with three different formats and one turret for metal ROPP and stelcap closures.

The labeller, from SACMI labelling, has two stations for self adhesive labels and two stations for wet glue labels, and can be upgraded to take a fifth station in future, if required.

A modern U shape horseshoe layout allows maximum efficiency in the movement of dry and wet goods.

Due to be installed at the end of March 2009, the new bottling plant supplied by Intercaps Filling Systems, will make it possible for this Scottish distillery to package their premium products, especially their premium single malt whiskies, which require small production batches and maximum planning flexibility. The Intercaps Filling Systems is capable of bottling of up to 13 differently shaped bottles, of applying up to 30 sizes of label, 5 differently shaped capsules and 5 different types of cork.

Intercaps Filling Systems has been requested to supply a special 14 head capping turret - produced by Arol Spa - to a major UK soft drinks manufacturer.

A brilliant technical solution has allowed the Arol engineers to develop a 14 head capper with reduced pitch for Intercaps Filling Systems. The capper is capable of applying four different types of closure on the same capping turret - from 28 x 15 metal ROPP to two different types of 28 mm plastic screw-on closure. It also includes a 38 mm wide metal ROPP cap, all on one turret with quick change over capping heads and only two fixed cap feeding devices.

The turret was designed from scratch and was delivered to the client for assembly on a pre-existing filling machine in a record 90 days, including the summer holiday recess in Italy.

Completely new miniaturised 38 mm metal capping heads were custom designed for the client to fit the reduced pitch of the existing filler.

Weightpack also produces explosion proof filling machines for waxes and volatile liquid , as the one installed by Intercaps Filling Systems ltd at the plant of Johnson Diversey near Derby,England, where it is used to fill industrial waxes and detergents, with a wide range of viscosity.

Weightpack and Intercaps Filling Systems are presenting a new range of mayonnaise and ketchup filling machines based on the weight filling process, at FOODEX MEATEX in Birmingham at the Nec from the 6th to the 9th of April 2008 in Hall 17 Stand AB311.
